| 9g Enterprises provides surveys, workshops, keynotes, and coaching focused on increasing organizational productivity, leadership effectiveness and motivation. Our philosophy is derived from the careers and accomplishments of many outstanding individuals. Many of our leadership role models come from the military world; many are now firmly entrenched in corporate America, all with significant success.
You can learn from their wins and losses and their time-tested leadership values.
If you’ve decided to spend your life being a corporate drone, hoping for a stable economy, planning on retirement so you can just fade away, staying out of the vortex, and not challenging the status quo — our products are not for you.
If you want to make a difference, have the respect of those you work for and those who work for you; if you want to take your team to a performance level completely out of today’s paradigm, then we can help.
Our belief is that there are three areas in which desirable leadership characteristics fall: Self, Team and Atmosphere.
We can’t do our best if we aren’t at our best. You need to achieve your optimum physical, mental, and emotional balance to function as an effective and inspirational leader. Physical fitness, diet, and rest really do make a difference. We relate this not to the Peter Principle, but what is called the Paul Principle. The Paul Principle suggests that by the time a person gets to a significant leadership or management opportunity, they are too burned out to be effective. Have you noticed those around you who have already shut down, who focus on the end of the workday and early retirement?

Our bodies and minds need to be exercised and challenged to maintain the vitality to lead and motivate. We need to find an emotional/attitude balance that takes us through the stressful and trying times. We need to have a mindset that helps us carry on, treat people properly, accept both the strengths and weaknesses of our team and focus on the present to find maximum effectiveness.
A group of employees is nothing more than a draw upon resources if they don’t function as a team. A team functions well if it has a clear vision of where it is going, if credit is given to the proper employees, and if the top performers are empowered to make a difference.
Managers are different creatures than leaders. A leader inspires the team to follow them up the hill into adversity. A manager counts numbers, follows metrics and makes widgets. A well-led team will make more widgets!
An effective leader compels teamwork and camaraderie, mutual support and enthusiasm, accountability and recognition. An effective leader gets above-average performance out of the team.
It has been well documented that working in a positive atmosphere is preferable to working in a negative (fear, sarcasm and ridicule) environment—preferable for both morale and results. A positive environment creates the momentum and attitude we need to get through the tough times.
Giving credit to subordinates and empowering them to share their successes is characteristic of a strong team environment.
The team needs to carry an enthusiasm for the tasks at hand to be truly outstanding. Have fun, raise the bar and celebrate every victory. Team events, reward and recognition programs, and spontaneous celebrations should be common. Use sprints and longer drives in combination, but ensure that short-term wins can be utilized to energize the group. Walk around, give immediate recognition and tie rewards to specific milestones.
We believe that an organization should focus on what we call “generational leadership training.” Early exposure to the fundamentals of self, team and atmosphere provides a foundation for all employees. We often assume, because of our personal experiences, that all team members know what, and how, to function in a productive manner. This is not true. We challenge you to sit down with your team members and ask them to explain their philosophy as it relates to excellence, mentors, balance, communication, accountability and so on……..
Many individuals aren’t exposed to the fundamentals of effective leadership until they are in a position requiring such. It is classic “sink or swim” and often leads to frustrated, ineffective, low-credibility leaders.
Therefore, our introductory workshop is designed for your entire organization. It provides an overview of the characteristics vital to effective and productive employees.
